Manufacturing Engineer II 5S

Job Responsibilities

• Drive process improvements and increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead implementation and sustainment of 5S standards and culture across production areas.
• Conduct 5S audits, track scores, and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Analyze current state workflows and develop future state solutions.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and construction teams.
• Develop standard work, line layouts, and production processes.
• Track KPIs and support data-driven decision making.
• Lead problem-solving initiatives (root cause, flow, optimization).
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
• Train and coach teams on 5S, lean principles, and best practices.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical, Industrial, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3-6 years in manufacturing or process engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proven experience implementing and sustaining 5S programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Leverage Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Cost Reduction, Process Optimization.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, BIM360, Power BI, Visio, Airtable, Smartsheet, MS Office.
