Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including pilot builds, process validation, and production readiness
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput
- Troubleshoot manufacturing, equipment, and quality issues while implementing corrective actions
- Support production ramp activities and manufacturing capacity expansion
- Specify, implement, and qualify manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing metrics, including safety, First Pass Yield (FPY), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), cycle time, and labor efficiency
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to improve product manufacturability and assembly efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience: 3-5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
- Experience: Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process development
- Experience: Experience in one or more of the following industries: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Electronics Manufacturing, Power Electronics, Automotive Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing
- Skills: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Development, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP systems, Electrical fundamentals and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Experience with battery systems, energy storage products, or power electronics, Automation, robotics, or vision inspection system experience, Lean Six Sigma certification, Experience with ESD control programs and manufacturing test systems, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities, Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset, Ability to work on the manufacturing floor for extended periods, Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
