Manufacturing Engineer I/II
About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer at Greenheck Group plays a crucial role in optimizing factory operations, improving quality, and enhancing customer service. This position involves relocation to Kings Mountain, NC for two years before moving to the company's new headquarters in Knoxville, TN.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement basic training initiatives to support manufacturing.
- Specify and justify basic capital expenditures.
- Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Recognize and recommend design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
- Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout, and machinery efficiency.
- Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
- Participate in Lean and safety initiatives.
- Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
- Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
- Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
Requirements
- 2 Year / Associate Degree in engineering or equivalent years of job experience required.
- 4 Year / Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required for level I.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in engineering required for level II.
- Basic CAD skills preferred.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone.
- Substantial motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
- Close visual acuity is needed for preparing and analyzing data, and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading.
- Occasional mobility is required to attend in-person meetings and complete various office tasks.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
The starting base pay range for this position is $77,235-$117,552 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
