About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer I/II will develop and implement manufacturing processes and methods aligned with product specifications, quality standards, and operational goals. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure manufacturability, and maintain compliance with internal and external standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and methods for both new and existing products
- Integrate automation into existing production lines
- Gain experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and design efficiency
- Analyze and improve production workflows for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Create and maintain clear, detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures
- Support the selection, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processes
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing issues
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations and company standards
- Must be willing to work 2nd shift and/or our Paso Robles location
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- For Manufacturing Engineer I: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
- For Manufacturing Engineer II: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Automation or machining experience highly desired
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Pay
Level I: $77,000 – $91,000
Level II: $91,000 – $112,000
