About the role
NTT DATA is seeking a highly accomplished Managing Director, Strategic Pursuit Leader to drive strategic, complex, and high-value opportunities across our portfolio of services and solutions within the Healthcare industry. This individual will lead end-to-end pursuit activities, working closely with clients, sales leaders, consultants, architects, delivery teams, and executive stakeholders to develop compelling business and technology solutions that address client challenges and accelerate growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the creation and execution of strategic pursuit engagement plans, collaborating across teams and business units to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful pursuit execution.
- Engage early with customer technology and business leaders to establish trusted relationships and develop a deep understanding of their business priorities, objectives, and challenges.
- Manage customer relationships throughout the pursuit lifecycle, from opportunity origination through closure of complex, multi-tower, high-value engagements.
- Develop and execute winning strategies that align NTT DATA's capabilities with the customer's business goals and technology transformation requirements.
- Lead solution design, construction, and orchestration activities across NTT DATA, alliance partners, and client organizations.
- Collaborate across sales, consulting, enterprise architecture, client delivery, operations, and executive leadership teams to create integrated and differentiated solutions.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with customer business outcomes, technical requirements, operational objectives, and financial expectations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal stakeholders, delivery teams, and executive leadership to maintain alignment on solution vision, scope, value proposition, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate executive-level presentations, workshops, and strategy sessions to position NTT DATA as a trusted transformation partner.
- Identify innovative approaches that leverage emerging technologies, market trends, and industry best practices to create compelling client value propositions.
- Support commercial negotiations, risk assessments, and governance processes to enable successful deal closure.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of pursuit methodologies, tools, and best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in enterprise sales, complex deal pursuits, consulting sales, or related leadership roles within the IT services, technology, or consulting industry.
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading strategic sales pursuits and closing complex, business outcome-based opportunities.
- Minimum 8 years of experience managing and closing large-scale deals in excess of $50M involving multiple stakeholders and technology domains, including cloud, data and AI, cybersecurity, applications, digital transformation, and infrastructure services.
- More than 5 years of experience in the Healthcare Payor industry is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience engaging with C-suite executives, business leaders, and technology decision makers.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams within a matrixed environment.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

Pay
The starting pay range for this role is $150,000 - $350,000 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on factors including the candidate’s work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
