Managing Director, Healthcare

About the role

The Managing Director, Healthcare at Synergetics is a highly visible leadership position for a seasoned healthcare consulting executive. The role involves leading and growing the Healthcare practice, delivering operational transformation, and building trusted relationships with Private Equity firms and C-suite healthcare leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex healthcare consulting engagements from assessment through implementation, delivering measurable operational and financial improvements.
• Build and grow relationships with healthcare executives, Private Equity firms, and portfolio companies.
• Originate and close new consulting engagements.
• Lead proposals, presentations, and executive client discussions.
• Mentor and develop healthcare consultants while helping expand the Healthcare practice.
• Represent Synergetics at industry events and within the healthcare community.

Requirements

• 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 10 years in management consulting. Experience with a top-tier global consulting firm is strongly preferred, particularly Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, Accenture, or a leading healthcare-focused consultancy.
• Deep expertise within healthcare services, such as hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ambulatory care, post-acute care, behavioral health, or PE-backed healthcare organizations.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvement and performance transformation initiatives.
• Strong business development experience with a proven ability to originate and close consulting engagements.
• Experience working with Private Equity sponsors and healthcare portfolio companies is highly preferred.
• Executive presence with the ability to build credibility with CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and investor groups.
• Experience leading consulting teams and managing multiple client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, MPH, or other advanced degree preferred.
