What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage and drive client performance through a cross-functional, matrixed operational structure.
  • Oversee client operational teams including claims, audit and recovery, enrollment, configuration, call center/customer service, finance, and utilization management.
  • Facilitate operational meetings and report on operational performance.
  • Partner with IT, data operations, product, and project management teams to set priorities aligned with client goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, State and Federal regulatory requirements.
  • Set direction for the team, provide guidance, and oversee quality and timeliness of work.
  • Lead recruitment, training, motivation, and development of a staff of highly skilled professionals.
  • Establish client quality objectives and benchmarks.
  • Identify and resolve operational deficiencies.
  • Promote professional growth and development of team members.

Who You’ll Be Working With

  • Work in a highly cross-functional capacity with key leaders and team members in Evolent’s operations teams.
  • Oversee strategic projects and initiatives for key health plan clients.
  • Proactively assess, validate, and prioritize client needs.
  • Translate feedback into operational improvements, product enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Plan, prioritize, direct, and schedule all projects and assignments.
  • Coordinate service delivery across a matrixed operational model supporting many clients.
  • Provide technical guidance on problem definition and resolution.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and develop a staff of highly skilled professionals.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of healthcare experience in health plan operations or strategic partnership management.
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present at all levels of the organization, including at the C-level.
  • Influence through effective stories to emphasize the value proposition of the partnership.
  • A tenacious partnership ethos with a relentless focus on follow through and maintaining trust.
  • The intellectual curiosity to get to the bottom of client issues and opportunities and the willingness to roll up sleeves and work toward solutions.

Technical Requirements

  • High speed internet over 10 Mbps.
  • Ability to plug in directly to the home internet router for call center employees.
