Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and evaluate new suppliers and technologies in the indirect spend categories to support Leviton’s business operations.
- Lead and facilitate the transition and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and compliance standards.
- Meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery expectations for all indirect procurement activities.
- Align with strategic supplier partners to leverage best-in-class solutions and maximize value for Leviton.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders to negotiate commercial terms for indirect goods and services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for indirect sourcing activities, acting as a liaison between sourcing, business units, and other functional groups.
- Lead and facilitate the process to add and maintain supplier and material data in relevant procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), working closely with central materials management.
- Frequently communicate status and updates to internal stakeholders and assist in securing new services for operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities.
- Support process improvements and cost-saving initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.
- Be the key person for general sourcing department activities including office supply ordering, time clock input/vacation calendar, overflow for Indirect order processing, CBP lead, etc.
Qualifications
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (Excel, Powerpoint, and Word).
- Skilled in analysis, Finance, Cash Mgmt, and Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of the use of electronic collaboration tools.
- Able to understand Business Law; Aware of International Law; Able to create new or unique T&C's for legal review; working knowledge of intellectual property, indemnification, and liability.
- Proficient in managing and/or leading multi-location/global projects.
- Able to recognize and capitalize on team skills /dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to hold cost-out sessions with suppliers and the plant locations.
- Good understanding of Best Practices within Supply Chain.
- Able to teach a variety of purchasing concepts and procedures.
- Solid understanding of indirect procurement, supplier management, and internal operations.
- Experience supporting new product launches or project-based sourcing is a plus.
- Creative, resourceful, and able to think independently; attentive to detail and highly organized.
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously with limited supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective collaboration across the organization.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills for evaluating supplier proposals and business cases.
- Good business acumen with the ability to understand industry dynamics, competitive environment, and customer business drivers.
- Ability to establish long-lasting, win-win relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Forward-thinking with strategic planning skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, (other as appropriate)
- 3 to 5 years’ related experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Indirect Procurement.
- Documented leadership in the Indirect Commodity.
- Experience managing direct reports.
