MarketingFull-time

Ready to build what's next with one of the world's most iconic brands? At Subway, we are not just standing still—we are building. This is a business focused on growing franchisee profitability, strengthening our brand, and creating long-term value. The people who thrive here are those who want to make a real impact. You will shape the work, not just do it. We move fast, think like owners, and make decisions that matter. If you bring energy, accountability, and a bias for action, you’ll fit right in. We take the work seriously, but we also know the best results come from teams that support each other and celebrate wins.

About The Role

The Manager, Social Media (Paid & Content Creation) will power Subway’s social media presence day-to-day, connecting culture, content, and conversion through best-in-class paid and boosted activations. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Social Media (with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Social and PR), this role leads the development and execution of Subway’s paid social and boosting strategy. You will translate cultural trends and brand priorities into platform-native creative that drives performance and conversion. Collaborating with our social agency, creative partners, and platform representatives, you will build, test, and optimize campaigns that fuel brand love, business impact, and measurable ROI. This role also serves as Subway’s in-house content creator, identifying emerging formats, tools, and cultural cues to keep the brand ahead of the algorithm and at the center of conversation.

Responsibilities

  • Paid Social Execution & Creative Strategy:
    • Lead the paid social creative strategy, requirements, and execution—defining what great performance creative looks like for Subway and ensuring every asset is built to win in-feed.
    • Execute Subway's paid and boosted social campaigns daily, ensuring creative excellence, cultural relevance, and performance efficiency across all platforms.
    • Partner with the Senior Manager and Senior Director of Social Media to ensure paid content amplifies organic storytelling and creator activations, driving cohesive cross-channel impact.
    • Manage campaign setup, optimization, and reporting with our social agency and internal media teams, aligning with business and franchisee goals.
    • Track, analyze, and interpret paid performance data (CPM, CTR, IPM) to identify actionable insights and optimization opportunities.
  • Innovation & Testing:
    • Lead Subway's social innovation tests, owning test design, execution, and learnings that shape how the brand shows up across platforms.
    • Collaborate with platform partners (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Snap, etc.) through the media team to test new ad formats, tools, and beta opportunities.
    • Co-lead ongoing paid social reporting and testing frameworks with the media team to identify what drives the highest impact across channels and audiences.
  • Content Creation:
    • Serve as one of Subway's in-house content creators, producing short-form video, photography, and trend-driven content optimized for each platform.
    • Work closely with creative and brand teams to ensure all assets are on-brand, on-trend, and optimized for boosting and performance.
    • Manage production timelines, shot lists, and creative assets for nimble content creation—ensuring Subway moves at the speed of culture.
    • Partner with the creative agency to scale top-performing concepts into paid or boosted execution.
    • Maintain Subway's in-house content library, ensuring evergreen creative is properly tagged, organized, and available for reuse.
  • Reporting, Dashboards & Insights:
    • Own Subway's social reporting software and dashboards (including Sprout Social and Brandwatch), serving as the team's platform administrator and go-to expert.
    • Use social dashboards to connect paid performance with organic learnings, fueling cross-team collaboration.
    • Continuously refine creative, targeting, and spend allocation based on data to maximize ROI, specific to boosting.
    • Partner with analytics and Consumer Insights teams to provide clear, actionable insights that inform future campaigns.
  • Crisis & Community Management:
    • Serve as a first responder and field liaison during social or operational crises, ensuring issues are escalated, managed, and resolved quickly in partnership with PR, Guest Care, and Field Operations.
    • Monitor social sentiment and community feedback to identify potential issues before they escalate, partnering with ICUC and Consumer Insights.
    • Work with Field Marketing and Communications to develop real-time response frameworks and messaging that protect the brand and support franchisees.
    • Maintain strong relationships with field teams to ensure consistent and coordinated communication during high-sensitivity moments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal partners (Media, PR, Operations) to ensure Subway's paid and boosted content supports key campaigns and brand priorities.
    • Act as the connective link between creative development, media execution, and real-time optimization.
    • Partner with the Senior Manager of Social Media to ensure every activation ladders up to Subway's larger goals.
