About the role
We are seeking a Nursing Manager to oversee the activities, workflow, and staffing of a medical-surgical unit.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Hiring, training, developing, and evaluating nursing staff.
- Addressing issues affecting patient care and implementing policies for efficient health service delivery.
- Monitoring and managing the unit's budget and expenditures.
- Performing other duties as assigned in a safe and alert manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Minimum of two years’ registered nurse experience with leadership responsibilities, or one year RN experience plus one year leadership experience.
- Valid RN license and BLS certification for the applicable state.
- Physical ability for frequent lifting, movement, and data entry.
Key Duties
- Manage nursing activities, resources, and workflow within the assigned unit(s).
- Ensure safety, compliance, and quality of patient care.
- Develop policies to support effective health services.
- Monitor budgets and expenditures.
