Manager, Recruiting
About the role

The Recruiting Manager leads and executes recruiting efforts for assigned areas, defining effective recruitment strategies and pipelines to access top-level talent while ensuring subordinate recruiters deliver timely and effective customer service to clients. This role supports the Business Unit Director of Recruiting in developing targeted sourcing strategies and managing the talent attraction, interview, and selection process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and carry out recruiting efforts, consulting with leadership to develop, coordinate, and implement strategies to identify, select, and hire high-quality contact center, sales, and marketing talent.
- Manage talent attraction efforts and job postings, identifying targeted sourcing tools (e.g., Internet, CRM, print advertising, publications, social media, sourcing vendors, community partnerships) to generate applicant flow.
- Champion and promote the employee referral program through innovative measures.
- Conduct preliminary interviews with qualified candidates in accordance with company policy and employment law; coordinate follow-up interviews through hiring or candidate disposition.
- Work closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to ensure hiring processes are followed and appropriate candidate profiles are identified.
- Lead and manage a recruitment team, including hiring, developing, and retaining staff through effective recruiting, onboarding, and employee development.
- Coach, train, and support business leaders serving as hiring managers on processes and selection practices to build effective recruiting operations at all resorts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local colleges and community organizations to generate a qualified, diverse talent pool.
- Plan and attend off-site job fairs and community networking events to promote Travel + Leisure Co.
- Travel approximately 5% of the time, including regional travel at onboarding to meet with recruiting staff and site leadership, and infrequent out-of-region travel (1-4 days) for corporate meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
- Experience providing accurate, timely data analysis to determine recruitment strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple recruitment plans and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proactive recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, negotiating, and networking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and ability to handle pressure.
- Ability to influence and work within a matrixed organization.
- Professionalism and a high level of confidentiality.
Skills
- Advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tracking Systems.
- Intermediate PC skills (at least 5 years) in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Skills in MS SharePoint preferred.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading a regionally dispersed remote recruiting team.
- 5+ years of experience in exempt and/or non-exempt recruiting for high-volume roles.
- Experience creating and managing staffing and workforce plans.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with business leaders and providing full-life-cycle recruiting for professionals in marketing, human resources, communications, technology, finance, and other business service groups.
