Manager of Rehab Services
About the Role
As the Manager of Rehab Services at Methodist Hospital, you will manage the daily operations of the department, ensuring patient care aligns with standards set by JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, and licensing boards. You will oversee staffing, data collection, quality patient care, and promote both patient and physician satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resolving staff conflicts.
- Ensure Rehab Services personnel and students are appropriately oriented, trained, and supervised to maintain efficiency and quality patient care.
- Assist the Director with staff development, career path planning, and determining appropriate space, facilities, equipment, supplies, and staffing levels.
- Support the Director in preparing, implementing, and monitoring the Department’s annual Operating and Capital budgets.
- Assist in developing and revising Policies and Procedures and updating the Chargemaster coding in cooperation with the Finance Department.
- Provide patient care consistent with your discipline and the patient setting.
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO, Medicare, Medicaid, Texas State Licensures, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech/Language Pathology.
- Two years of professional experience as a therapist and two years of management/supervisory experience (a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management can substitute for management experience).
- Experience and education in Methodist Excellence (guided by Principles of Studer) is recommended.
- Membership in a professional organization is desirable.
- Licensed Therapist in the State of Texas.
