About the Role
The Manager of Rehab Services assists in managing the Rehabilitation Therapy Department (PT, OT, and ST) to achieve department goals. HCA Healthcare partners with Harvard Pilgrim Institute and the CDC to use data from more than 26 million patient encounters each year to impact the industry.
Responsibilities
- Supervise employees, assist with schedules, technical procedures, quality assurance, staff development/education, and regulatory agency compliance
- Oversee all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals
- Identify cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department, considering business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers
- Establish effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors
- Identify and remedy issues through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement
- Responsible for hiring, termination, scheduling, counseling, and evaluating therapy personnel
- May have responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and/or care of patients of all ages, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
- Work with senior management in meeting facility goals and maintain the department in the Director’s absence
- Promote a positive working environment and motivate staff to perform to the best of their abilities
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred in associated discipline (PT, OT, ST)
- Texas license – (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist, or (OT) Occupational Therapist, or (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist
- 7 years of clinical experience in the rehabilitation therapy field
- 5 years of supervisory/management experience
