About the role
This is a key role whose primary goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for our adult clients who have co-occurring disorders (substance use disorder and mental health disorders).
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support to all clinical operations in areas assigned.
- Provide oversight and monitor clinical services as it relates to service provision, treatment and access.
- Review and analyze clinical and operational performance results.
- Develop plans for improvement as needed.
- Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
- Develop and implement behavioral health processes, procedures and policies across programs.
- Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning and reporting processes as appropriate.
- Represent the company at meetings in the community.
- Collaborate with other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative work environment.
- Support compliance by adherence to accreditation standards as well as standards of funding agencies and licensing boards.
- Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always.
- When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints.
- Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Psychiatric Nursing required.
- Five or more years’ experience in behavioral health services with clinical experience with all target populations (SMI, SED, DD, SUD) required.
- Three or more years’ supervision experience required.
- Management or administration experience and/or three years work experience in Utilization Management required.
- Licenses/Designations/Certifications: Meet DWMHA credentialing requirements for professional practice Masters Level licensed behavioral health professional as QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) CMHP (Child Mental Health Professional), and QMRP. Must possess a full license in one of the following disciplines: LLP/LP, LPC, LMSW, NP/RN. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
