About the role

The Information Technology Technical Services Manager leads the IT Technical Services team with computer operations, network, PC, and communication support in accordance with the Company's goals and objectives. This role manages technical services team members, establishes clear expectations to provide superior support and service to all users, and fosters working relationships with Company management and IT vendors. The position promotes team growth and development, assists with department budget and strategic planning, and participates in multi-department special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, recommends, creates, implements, and oversees hardware, software, network, and communications solutions.
  • Accurately estimates system and manpower resources and preliminary cost projections.
  • Evaluates, selects, negotiates, and manages external resources for hardware, software, network, and communications solutions.
  • Oversees and manages a team of help desk and communication specialists, network technicians, and network administrators by scheduling and assigning work and monitoring day-to-day activities.
  • Holds team members accountable to company-approved policies and procedures.
  • Serves as liaison between users and team members, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service.
  • Promotes growth and development of team members by monitoring and evaluating performance in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Leads in the selection, hiring, and staffing of team members.
  • Recommends training needs and programs, identifying technical and non-technical training opportunities.
  • Participates in personal and leadership development opportunities.
  • Establishes standards for hardware, software, and networking, and monitors compliance.
  • Leads periodic review and analysis of existing procedures.
  • Assists with creating, monitoring, and reviewing the Information Technology annual budget.
  • Monitors and evaluates computer application and programming costs, seeking efficiency gains and process improvements.
  • Assists with creating and reviewing the department's annual strategic plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Systems or related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum five years of networking operations experience.
  • Proficiency with a variety of PC hardware.
  • Minimum three years of previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Regularly scheduled attendance required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read small print and perform repetitive motion tasks.
  • Tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet.
  • Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and sitting.

  • Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
