About the Role

The Information Technology Technical Services Manager leads the IT Technical Services team in computer operations, network, PC, and communication support aligned with the Company's goals. This role manages team members, sets clear expectations, and ensures superior support and service for all users. Additionally, the position fosters relationships with Company management and IT vendors, promotes team growth and development, assists with budget and strategic planning, and participates in multi-department projects.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, recommends, creates, implements, and oversees hardware, software, network, and communications solutions.
  • Accurately estimates system and manpower resources, including preliminary cost projections.
  • Evaluates, selects, negotiates, and manages external resources for hardware, software, network, and communications solutions.
  • Oversees and manages a team of help desk specialists, communication specialists, network technicians, and network administrators by scheduling and assigning work and monitoring day-to-day activities.
  • Holds team members accountable to company-approved policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison between users and team members, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service.
  • Promotes growth and development of team members, monitoring and evaluating performance in a professional and timely manner.
  • Leads the selection, hiring, and staffing of team members.
  • Recommends training needs and programs, identifying technical and non-technical training opportunities.
  • Participates in personal and leadership development opportunities, demonstrating leadership and professionalism.
  • Establishes standards for hardware, software, and networking, monitoring compliance with these standards.
  • Leads periodic reviews and analyses of existing procedures.
  • Assists with creating, monitoring, and reviewing the Information Technology annual budget.
  • Monitors and evaluates computer application and programming costs, seeking efficiency gains and process improvements.
  • Assists with creating and reviewing the department's annual strategic plan.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five years of networking operations experience.
  • Proficiency with a variety of PC hardware.
  • Three years of previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

Qualifications

  • Reads small print; repetitive motion.
  • Tolerates working in confined spaces and heights above four feet.
  • Tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and sitting.
