Manager Infusion Pharmacy

About the role

The Manager of Infusion Pharmacy Home Care serves as the appointed Supervising Pharmacist for regulatory purposes and is responsible for the day-to-day activities and longer-range planning at the pharmacy site. This role ensures compliance with all NYS and Federal requirements for infusion pharmacy, as well as accrediting and other regulatory body requirements. The manager works closely with VNA and system leadership to meet patient needs, implement and maintain policies and procedures, and oversee pharmacy operations including compounding, dispensing, packaging, distribution, and inventory control.

Responsibilities include assuring adequate resources (staff and medications/supplies), maximizing claim collections, minimizing bad debts, and ensuring high levels of customer service and patient experience. The manager also supervises and evaluates all site staff and collaborates with Kaleida Health leadership to align policies across pharmacy affiliates.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the appointed Supervising Pharmacist for regulatory compliance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and long-range planning for the pharmacy site.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures for pharmacy compounding, dispensing, packaging, distribution, and inventory control.
• Ensure adequate and appropriate resources, including staff and medications/supplies.
• Oversee timely and accurate adjudication of pharmacy claims to maximize collection and minimize bad debts.
• Manage pharmacy customer service functions to ensure high levels of customer service and patient experience.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements, including NYS, Federal, and accrediting bodies.
• Directly supervise and evaluate all staff at the site.
• Collaborate with VNA and Kaleida Health leadership to meet patient needs and align policies.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
• Pharmacist licensure required upon hire.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in home infusion or retail pharmacy setting preferred.
• 2 years of experience managing staff or functioning in a lead role preferred.
• 1-2 years of infusion experience preferred.

Working Conditions

• Essential weight requirement: Light (up to 20 lbs).
• Standard work hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
• Work arrangement: Onsite.
• No weekend/holiday requirement.
• No on-call requirement.

Pay

Salary Range: $152,179 - $209,246. Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
