About the Role
This position description outlines the key factors of the job essential to evaluating job performance. The individual in this role is expected to perform all detailed job functions and, on occasion, may be required to perform tasks of a higher or lower skill level not included in this description.
Responsibilities
- Execute human resources, benefits, and workers' compensation programs with accuracy and a customer-friendly approach.
- Conduct new hire orientation.
- Oversee and manage I-9 and E-Verify processes.
- Oversee and manage background checks and conduct employment verification for potential applicants/employees.
- Facilitate the interviewing process for applicants interested in employment.
- Develop and maintain personnel position descriptions.
- Manage and maintain personnel/staff training plans.
- Manage performance evaluation tracking.
- Oversee and manage advertisements and post all vacant positions, both internally and externally.
- Manage all temporary employment with agencies.
- Maintain a personnel filing and recordkeeping system.
- Maintain records of all local, state, and federal issues and bulletins.
- Compose and compile routine correspondence.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal benefits requirements.
- Maintain benefit records by developing recordkeeping systems, initiating new hire benefits, and recording changes.
- Update enrollment, terminations, and changes in coverage for all benefits.
- Perform monthly reconciliation for medical, dental, vision, and AFLAC benefits.
- Monitor day-to-day Principal messages and process accordingly.
- Conduct Annual Benefits Open Enrollment.
- Conduct Annual AFLAC Open Enrollment.
- Conduct Quarterly Principal Staff meetings.
- Prepare employment verification as required.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by operating as the Safety Officer.
- Oversee and manage Workers' Compensation injury and illness reporting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
- Reliable personal transportation and auto insurance.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding executive office operations.
- Knowledge of the Full Employment Council and its objectives.
