Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the human resources function, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation, and performance management.
- Provide oversight of multi-state payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Serve as the primary resource for employee benefits administration, vendor relationships, annual renewals, and benefits-related compliance activities.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, leave administration, and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Support compensation initiatives, including salary administration, incentive programs, and market analysis.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for a variety of positions while partnering with hiring managers to develop effective talent acquisition strategies.
- Coach and support leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, policy interpretation, and organizational development.
- Develop, implement, and improve HR processes, programs, and best practices to support organizational growth.
- Leverage HRIS and payroll technology to improve reporting, streamline workflows, and enhance the employee experience.
- Partner with leadership on employee engagement initiatives, retention strategies, and ongoing talent development.
- Support HR compliance initiatives and maintain current knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to members of the HR team while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, with responsibility across multiple HR disciplines.
- Experience overseeing multi-state payroll, employee benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, and compensation programs.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, or demonstrated readiness to step into an HR management role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, operational environment such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or another multi-site organization preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred.
- Experience administering HRIS and payroll systems, with the ability to optimize processes and reporting.
- Working knowledge of leave administration, workers' compensation, and employment law.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage changing priorities.
- Hands-on leader who enjoys building processes, improving operations, and partnering with employees at all levels.
