Manager, Commercial Strategy NNA
Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the development of a five-year strategic plan for North America across all key market segments demonstrating a deep understanding of the auto, specialties & beverage packaging industries and market dynamics (i.e., electrification, CO2 regulations, etc.) while working with Sales, Technical Development, Customer Solution Center, R&D, and Global teams to identify and quantify strategic opportunities, customers, programs, and applications that will support NNA’s daring growth plans.
Monitor market developments and news to provide leadership with insights on potential risks or emerging opportunities resulting from market dynamics.
Assess the implications of market changes for customers and deliver critical information to support near-term and operational planning.
Serve as a liaison for the value streams and collaborators groups in multiple facets. Examples include: bridging with R&D on new product development and tracking; with Global Center of Excellence on Marketing & Commercial Planning Process; with Operations on Capital Projects; with Regional and Corporate Sustainability on sustainability strategy development; with Customer Solution Centers on Value-in-Use (ViU) and customer segmentation, with Supply Chain and Sales on short-term and longer-term Sales & Operations Planning, etc.
Drive key digital initiatives that will help promote data centralization, pricing analytics, customer/pricing data management, critical metric / reporting, etc. that will help improve decision-making across the business with access to better data & analytics.
Build and maintain strong internal networks with key functional teams (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, etc.)
Lead Account Planning and customer segmentation activities in the region across all market segments and integrate account plans / strategy with long-term strategy development
Identify the viable opportunities in the market, but also program manages key collaborators within and across regions to drive appropriate actions to ensure NNA is positioned to capture identified opportunities.
Provide key critical metrics and progress updates to Regional & Corporate Leadership (i.e., VP NNA Commercial, EVP NNA, etc.) which will entail a deep understanding of the key areas of interest within each functional team and the ability to drive non-direct reports to action.
Furthermore, detailed program management skills are required to ensure no gaps in the action plan and appropriate reporting aligned to VP Auto’s critical metrics.
Liaise with key collaborators in Novelis Europe and Novelis Asia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
- 5-7+ years in B2B or Manufacturing, Global experience, working cross-regionally, Cross-functional coordination, Program/project management
- PowerPoint, Excel, executive communication, strategic marketing, and program/project management strategy
- Managerial (people manager) skills, financial modeling, Strategic pricing
- MS Project, Salesforce CRM, SAP, Digital, SaaS experience
