About the role
The Manager, Business Application Management leads the daily activities of the Business Applications Management team and ensures Contexture’s business applications are properly configured to support workflow and productivity. This role drives ongoing service improvement and proactively seeks opportunities to enhance application performance and deliver value to the business.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistency and maintainability of existing business applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for technical solutions.
- Track and drive resolution of issues and requests.
- Produce detailed timelines for each application release and monitor progress.
- Approve business requirements prior to technical solutions.
- Participate in hardware and software evaluations and maintain vendor contracts.
- Provide leadership to business applications analysts and administrators to ensure applications support Contexture’s workflows.
- Manage direct reports by assigning tasks, ensuring they have direction, resources, and training.
- Prioritize team activities and communicate status to business leaders.
- Support a team of analysts and administrators to improve business processes for internal stakeholders.
- Drive tangible business outcomes through effective team leadership.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver results to supported business units.
- Identify business requirements and serve as the point of contact for third-party applications.
- Ensure adherence to Contexture’s IT and security guidelines, standards, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Evaluate new technologies and software products for feasibility and desirability.
- Review and prioritize process improvement submissions from stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement and maintain new business applications.
- Eliminate duplicate or redundant applications and drive consolidation when necessary.
- Ensure all business applications are updated, maintained, and secured according to policies.
- Deprecate legacy applications when no longer in use or supported.
- Participate in vendor management to ensure contracted SLA performance.
- Ensure business application documentation (user guides, process flows, training materials) is updated and disseminated regularly.
- Ensure new employees receive applicable business application training.
- Support after-hours deployments, changes, or major incident response as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of business application management and support experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, Tableau, Atlassian Jira, and/or Salesforce.
- Experience managing a business application portfolio.
- Basic knowledge of data file transfers, extracts, downloads, and system interfaces.
- Technical management experience supervising a team of application analysts and administrators.
- Technical proficiency and architecture understanding.
- Experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Cloud computing and platform management experience.
- Experience championing and implementing workflow changes within business applications.

Pay
Minimum starting monthly pay: $8,500. Hiring range: $8,500 – $9,583.

Work Environment
- Hybrid/physical office role based in Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; or Grand Junction, CO.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Occasional after-hours availability for deployments, changes, or incident response.
- Periodic driving to clients, conferences, or events; limited travel may be required.
- Exposure to sensitive information (PHI, PII, financial data) requiring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
Physical Demands
