Manager, Benefits Policy
About the role
Capital One is seeking an experienced Benefits Policy professional to play a critical role in helping the Benefits and HR Services organization deliver Total Rewards that attract the best people to join and stay with Capital One and empower them to live their best lives. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and work closely with peers, partners, vendors, and the Benefits Leadership Team to develop strategy that delivers benefits programs to associates through a seamless and personalized experience. This is a high-impact position requiring a balance of data-driven strategy and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive strategy for domestic and/or international benefits and well-being programs that span social, physical, financial and emotional health, and connect to the Company Mission, Vision and Values.
Drive a culture of well-being through a variety of marketing, communication, and engagement strategies that empower Capital One associates to live their best lives and support their physical, emotional, financial and social well-being.
Seek diverse perspectives from in-country, international subject matter experts to ensure global solutions maintain cultural relevance, as applicable
Leverage AI to expedite problem-solving, drive process efficiency, and improve associate experiences
Act as product owner for vendor-delivered technology solutions, including defining the product roadmap and expanding capabilities and functionality to meet business needs.
Build and sustain strategic networks to drive work smoothly across Capital One locations, managing processes, routines, communications, and shared documentation.
Align benefits strategies with organizational goals to attract and retain talent, while optimizing value on investment and associate experience.
Analyze benefits program metrics to evaluate the portfolio and drive recommendations and improvements based on what is working, the market, and the organization’s strategic imperatives.
Ensure compliance with regulations, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, statutory and international requirements, as applicable.
Analyze benefit program metrics to evaluate opportunities to harmonize benefits, achieve global economies of scale, assess value on investment, and opportunities for improvement.
Manage benefits plan financials, including budget forecasting, cost-sharing strategies, and fiduciary compliance.
Manage relationships with external vendors (where applicable).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or military experience
At least 4 years of experience in human resources, benefits, or employee wellness strategies
At least 3 years of experience working within a matrixed environment
At least 3 years of project management experience
At least 3 years of process management experience
At least 3 years of experience with data management and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of experience in global benefits
Project Management certification
Process Management certification
Professional Human Resources certification
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation
