Manager, Benefits
Job Summary
The Manager, Benefits manages daily activities in the organization's benefits function including direct management of benefits team, and benefits vendors, negotiation of benefit program contacts, plan level reporting, and compliance.
Essential Job Functions
- Evaluates and selects employee benefits for US, Puerto Rican, and Canadian populations (including health insurance, life insurance, profit sharing, disability, pension, or retirement plans) with the goal of creating an attractive and competitive benefits program.
- Regularly renegotiates or re-evaluates vendors in search of opportunities for cost-saving.
- Manages open enrollment schedules and leads meetings or information sessions, drafts and sends employee communications, answers questions or inquiries, and transmits enrollment data to vendors or administrators.
- Manages benefits team.
- Periodically reviews and maintains all benefits practices and policies to align with best practices.
- Collaborates with leadership to craft benefit strategy to maintain competitive position in employment market.
- Manages Retirement benefits for US, Puerto Rican and Canadian populations.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Benefits or related field.
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in benefits.
- Experience with multi-national benefits offerings.
