About the Role

The Manager, Analytics manages the analysis, design, programming, debugging, modification, and delivery of data products for commercial and end-user applications. This role involves translating detailed business requirements and functional specifications for internal and external clients, improving processes that affect customer satisfaction, and analyzing trends in technology to provide solutions for business issues. The position includes corporate functional leadership responsibilities, such as supervising staff hiring, goal setting, appraisal, development, and day-to-day coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Own the support and requirements gathering of Availity data products while leading a team.
  • Provide services to meet the needs of both internal and external clients.
  • Collaborate with the Platform team and Product Architecture to improve processes and the quality of code output.
  • Eliminate duplicate design and promote solutions that reduce or eliminate technical debt.
  • Ensure development positively affects customer satisfaction and relationships.
  • Anticipate and analyze trends in technology, assessing the impact of emerging technologies and organizational design, and provide solutions to address business issues.
  • Launch and deliver multiple, concurrent IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Lead large and small groups in requirements planning efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant technical and business experience in data analytics and/or a healthcare environment.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • 2+ years of SQL experience.
  • Understanding of data modeling, relational databases, data structures, and design.
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external clients/vendors.
  • Flexibility and ability to embrace change.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more information technology processes/services.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple (and often conflicting) demands.

Skills That Will Set You Apart

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and healthcare data.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based applications leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • IBM Cognos and Amazon QuickSight experience.
  • AWS Redshift and/or AWS S3/Athena experience.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study.
