Manager - AI Engineer

About the role

Long-term contract position located in Greenwood Village, CO.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing AI/ML teams
• Define and drive AI/ML strategy and vision
• Deliver AI/ML models into production environments
• Collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
• Hands-on work with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or AI development
• 8+ years of people management experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Demonstrated success delivering AI/ML models into production (industry experience required; research-only backgrounds not preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or PhD preferred in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or similar
• 8+ years of professional experience in data, analytics, AI/ML, or software development
• At least 2 years of focused, hands-on experience in AI-specific roles

Skills

• Strong technical leadership and communication skills
• Experience with call center environments or customer experience analytics (preferred)
• Telecommunications or cable industry experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Front-end or interface experience (e.g., React)
• Experience with sentiment analysis and text analytics
• Knowledge of AI-driven automation tools and frameworks
• Experience with AI model interpretability and explainability (XAI)
• Understanding of data privacy and regulatory considerations related to AI
• Graph Analytics: Leveraging graph-based models to analyze relationships and complex data networks
• Advanced Natural Language Processing (NLP): Building solutions for chatbots, sentiment analysis, and language translation
• Explainable AI (XAI): Creating transparent and interpretable AI systems
• Automated Machine Learning (AutoML): Streamlining model development through automation
