The Energy Providers practice at Guidehouse helps utilities and energy companies navigate rapid industry transformation. We assist in balancing energy costs, customer affordability, and new policies while leveraging emerging technologies to enhance operations, compliance, and resilience.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to innovative problem-solving to drive client outcomes

Requirements
- US Citizen or US Permanent Resident due to nature of client engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline and 1+ years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience OR Master’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline and relevant energy/utilities internships/co-op experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline and 3+ years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience OR Master’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline and 3+ years relevant post-graduation utilities work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity about the energy industry and a desire to make a tangible impact through consulting work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates residing within 50 miles of a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location
- Demonstrated experience in grid modernization, electric/power utilities technology integration, AI/ML technology modernization, NERC CIP program support, cybersecurity, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Ability to support business development by contributing to proposals, client pitches, and account growth strategies
- Strong conceptual, quantitative, and qualitative analytical skills
- Excellent at visualizing data, synthesizing insights, and storytelling with data
Benefits
- Annual salary range: $68,000.00 - $113,000.00
