About the Role

Our Culture At the City of Plano, our culture is grounded in service, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact. Our SERVE values—Stewardship, Engaged, Respectful, Visionary, and Excellence—guide how we work, while our A.P.R.O. principles—Adaptable, Professional, Relationship-Focused, and Outcome-Based—reflect who we are at our core. This is an organization where you can grow, contribute, and be part of something bigger than yourself. That’s why our guiding principle is simple and clear: SERVE Like a Pro—it’s in our DNA.

Responsibilities

135 buildings. 1.75 million square feet. Roughly 30 active renovation projects and 10-20 thousand work requests generated each year. Behind every one of those numbers is a work order, an invoice, a contract, or a decision — and we are looking for the person who turns all of it into clear information that moves the Facilities Division forward. As the City of Plano’s Facilities Management Analyst, you will be the operational backbone of a 30-plus-person team that keeps City Hall, libraries, recreation centers, public safety facilities, and more running every day. You will lead our administrative team, build dashboards that show how we are performing, write the procedures that make our work repeatable, and keep purchasing, contracts, and budgets on track. This is a brand-new role in a division that is modernizing how it works, so you will not just maintain the system — you will help design it. If you enjoy making sense of data, bringing order to busy operations, and seeing your work make a real difference in the buildings a community depends on, we want to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a newly created position and make a lasting impact on the City of Plano’s Facilities Division. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you’ll work across Maintenance, Construction, and Services to develop reporting tools, procedures, and administrative systems from the ground up. As the division modernizes its operations through the implementation of a new computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), KPI dashboards, and a greater focus on preventive maintenance, you’ll play a key role in driving these improvements. You’ll also collaborate with Engineering leadership and other City departments, gaining valuable experience and visibility throughout the organization. Your work will directly support the maintenance and operation of 135 City buildings that serve our employees and residents every day, while providing opportunities for professional growth and future advancement within the City of Plano.
