Job Summary

The State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA) is a statewide charter school authorizer and serves as the local educational agency for a growing and rapidly diversifying public school system in Nevada. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor Management Analyst, SPCSA is looking to hire a Management Analyst 2. The position coordinates risk-based monitoring activities and serves as the agency’s point of contact for subrecipient monitoring efforts. The position will coordinate fiscal and programmatic monitoring and provide technical assistance to charter school staff. This position will be responsible for providing support to the Monitoring and Evaluation team members regarding all monitoring and evaluation related activities and coordinate compliance, monitoring, and coordinate activities between School Support and Finance and Operations teams.

Essential Qualifications

  • Two or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties and graduation from high school or equivalent education.

Job Duties

  • Determine software application program needs or requirements.
  • Review and monitor contracts.
  • Make recommendations on policy and procedure improvements.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding programs and/or work unit activities.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence.
  • Review, write, revise, and recommend administrative policies or procedures for the work unit and/or assigned programs.
  • Conduct statistical or investigative studies, compile and analyze data, and prepare and present reports summarizing study results and conclusions.
  • Develop, manage, review, and make recommendations on contracts and the contracting process.
  • Review, monitor, and research bills submitted to the Legislature impacting the work unit, inform management of possible implications, and recommend an appropriate course of action.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of: - Statistical and research methodology; contract development and oversight.
  • Organizing, planning, implementing, and overseeing multiple programs or areas of responsibility.
  • Analyzing organizational and administrative programs, policies, and procedures, preparing plans for revision, and making recommendations; performing statistical computations such as correlation studies, variance analysis, averages, and trends; analyzing user needs and developing appropriate solutions and requirements; organizing materials, information, and resources systematically to optimize efficiency; organizing, planning, implementing, and overseeing multiple programs.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with coworkers, other agencies, and the public; negotiating and exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies, programs, and reach consensus; defining problems, identifying trends, analyzing issues, solving problems, and communicating solutions; producing clear, concise, and valid operational manuals, reports, and other presentation materials.
