Management Accounting Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a humble, driven, and relational financial professional to join our Accounting team as a Senior Management Accountant. This role goes beyond preparing reports—you will be a trusted financial partner to our CFO, Controller, program leaders, and other members of the organization. Your work will help them understand the story the numbers are telling and make better decisions. Responsibilities

• Analyze budgets, grants, funding requirements, and financial reports.
• Apply knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, grant requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Utilize working knowledge of 12 CFR 200.
• Leverage strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel and Access.
• Use accounting software and Power BI to support financial analysis and reporting.
• Explain complex financial information in a way that is accessible to non-financial stakeholders.
• Build relationships across departments and influence without authority.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all financial matters.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Ten (10) years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including five (5) years of cost accounting/business analyst experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Emotional intelligence, professional judgment, and a growth mindset.
