About the role
We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality mammogram services following physician orders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare diagnostic rooms and equipment
- Perform imaging with attention to patient comfort and safety
- Develop films while ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations (MQSA/ACR)
- Position patients and evaluate image quality
- Verify physician orders
- Manage contrast media when needed
- Accurately input patient data into computer systems
- Deliver excellent customer service and educate patients tailored to their age
- Maintain radiation safety and perform quality assurance
- Ensure proper patient identification
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with the team
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Flexibly rotate shifts and assignments, including portable and surgical procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Washington Radiologic Technologist certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- State certification as a Mammography Technologist with AART registration or equivalent training
Preferred experience
- At least one year of experience in mammography
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
