About the role

This role involves providing high-quality mammography services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic mammography imaging, position patients, and develop films while evaluating image quality.
  • Prepare and maintain diagnostic equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations (MQSA/ACR).
  • Educate patients about procedures, address concerns, and facilitate cooperation.
  • Accurately input patient data into computer systems and manage patient records.
  • Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols, performing equipment checks, and responding to contrast reactions.
  • Maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and team collaboration, including shift rotations and standby calls.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
  • For candidates without mammography certification, training can be provided with two years of radiology experience.

Preferred experience

  • At least one year of mammography experience.
