About the role
This role involves providing high-quality mammography services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammography imaging, position patients, and develop films while evaluating image quality.
- Prepare and maintain diagnostic equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations (MQSA/ACR).
- Educate patients about procedures, address concerns, and facilitate cooperation.
- Accurately input patient data into computer systems and manage patient records.
- Promote patient and staff safety by adhering to radiation safety protocols, performing equipment checks, and responding to contrast reactions.
- Maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and team collaboration, including shift rotations and standby calls.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
- For candidates without mammography certification, training can be provided with two years of radiology experience.
Preferred experience
- At least one year of mammography experience.
