About the Role

A Mammography Technologist performs mammography imaging procedures to support diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mammography and imaging equipment
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain high-quality images
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours
  • Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible to achieve registry within 6 months
  • State licensure may be required based on location
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Proficient in producing diagnostic images and recognizing technical abnormalities

Skills

  • Knowledge of advanced procedures, machine operation, emergency protocols, and radiation safety
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Perform physical movements such as bending, kneeling, and reaching
