About the Role
A Mammography Technologist performs mammography imaging procedures to support diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Operate mammography and imaging equipment
- Ensure patient safety and maintain high-quality images
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or eligible to achieve registry within 6 months
- State licensure may be required based on location
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Proficient in producing diagnostic images and recognizing technical abnormalities
Skills
- Knowledge of advanced procedures, machine operation, emergency protocols, and radiation safety
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Perform physical movements such as bending, kneeling, and reaching
