About the Role

This position involves performing mammography imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The technologist operates mammography and imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. Effective communication with patients and healthcare teams is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Follow complex instructions and adjust protocols as needed
  • Maintain equipment and adhere to radiation safety standards
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours
  • No prior experience required
  • State licensure may be needed based on location
  • ARRT certification or eligibility (achieve within 6 months)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire

Skills

  • Knowledge of diagnostic imaging, machine operation, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical movements during shifts.
