About the Role
This position involves performing mammography imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The technologist operates mammography and imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety and high-quality images. Effective communication with patients and healthcare teams is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort
- Follow complex instructions and adjust protocols as needed
- Maintain equipment and adhere to radiation safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with completed clinical hours
- No prior experience required
- State licensure may be needed based on location
- ARRT certification or eligibility (achieve within 6 months)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Skills
- Knowledge of diagnostic imaging, machine operation, safety protocols, and emergency procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform various physical movements during shifts.
