About the role
Provide high-quality mammography services in accordance with medical and safety standards, ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging, prepare equipment, develop films, and evaluate image quality.
- Educate patients on procedures, address concerns, and verify physician orders, including handling contrast media as needed.
- Accurately input patient data into computer systems and deliver responsive, patient‑centered customer service.
- Maintain radiation safety protocols, perform equipment checks, and adhere to regulatory standards such as MQSA and OSHA.
- Observe patient conditions, respond to emergencies, assist with first aid, and ensure proper patient identification.
- Support team collaboration, participate in policy development, and rotate through various shifts and assignments, including specialty procedures.
- Comply with safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification required.
- Washington state certification as Mammography Technologist and ARRT‑M registration or training eligibility with two years of radiology experience.
Preferred qualifications
- One year of mammography experience.
