About the Role
This position involves providing mammography services in accordance with physicians' orders, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and confidentiality. The role requires working collaboratively within a team, including shift rotations and standby call.
Responsibilities
- Prepare diagnostic equipment and perform imaging procedures.
- Develop films and evaluate image quality for accuracy.
- Provide patient education and address age-specific needs.
- Minimize radiation exposure while maintaining high-quality imaging.
- Accurately input data into computer systems.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Maintain safety standards, including radiation safety and infection control.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures.
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Washington state radiologic technologist certification.
- BLS certification.
- One year of mammography experience preferred.
