Malayalam Remote Interpreter

About the role

Certified Languages International (CLI) seeks telephonic interpreters to work from home. This role involves providing over-the-phone interpretation services to a variety of industries including medical, insurance, financial, utility companies, customer service, and state courts.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and unbiased interpretation services over the phone.
• Service clients 24/7 through CLI's online portal or landline telephone.
• Interpret in multiple languages, with Malayalam being one of the primary languages needed.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States and be a U.S. resident.
• Interpreting experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak and understand Malayalam fluently.
• Must be able to speak and understand the language(s) of the client(s) you will be interpreting for.
• Must have a valid U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) and a form of photo identification.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of the clients.

• Highly proficient in Malayalam and other relevant languages.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Strong attention to detail.

Pay

Payment is on a per-minute basis and interpreters are paid for every minute spent on the phone interpreting. Payments are issued twice a month, on the 15th and last day of the month, via direct deposit.

Schedule

Interpreters are expected to be available 24/7 to accommodate the needs of the clients. You can provide your service any time using CLI's online portal or your landline telephone to log on and off.
