Make an Impact After School ABA Therapy

About the role

Turn your afternoons into work that actually makes a difference. One Step Forward is looking for an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician to work one on one with children with autism in Paterson and surrounding Passaic County communities. This is a part time, in home position with weekday afternoon and early evening hours. You’ll help children develop meaningful communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills while receiving ongoing supervision and support from an experienced BCBA.

Responsibilities

• Provide one on one in home ABA therapy
• Implement individualized treatment goals and behavior plans
• Teach communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills
• Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
• Use evidence based ABA strategies including reinforcement and prompting
• Collect accurate session data to track client progress
• Complete electronic session documentation
• Communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA

Requirements

• Previous ABA experience (ABA Therapist, Behavior Technician, RBT, paraprofessional, special education aide, behavioral health professional)
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
• Dependable, professional, comfortable working one on one with children
• Committed to maintaining a consistent schedule
• Reliable transportation for in home visits

Schedule

We’re currently looking for therapists with consistent weekday afternoon and early evening availability. This is a part time position built around after school cases. Consistent weekly availability is important so that you can maintain continuity with your client and treatment team.

Pay

$22–$32 per hour based on experience.
