After School ABA Therapy | Behavior Technician

About the role

Looking for consistent after school hours working one on one with a child? One Step Forward is hiring an experienced Behavior Technician / ABA Therapist for an in home case in Brooklyn, NY 11204. This is a part time opportunity during weekday afternoon and evening hours for someone who already has ABA experience and is looking for a consistent case close to home.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with a child with autism, helping build skills that can make everyday routines, communication, play, and independence easier.
• Follow an individualized ABA treatment plan under the supervision of a BCBA and receive ongoing clinical guidance throughout the case.
• Collect data during each session, complete required electronic documentation, and communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA about the child's progress.
• Depending on the child's individualized goals, sessions may include:
  • Communication and language development
  • Social and play skills
  • Independence and daily living skills
  • Following routines and completing transitions
  • Building appropriate replacement behaviors
  • Skill acquisition programs
  • Reinforcement and prompting strategies
  • Behavior reduction programs
  • Generalizing new skills into everyday routines

Requirements

• Previous ABA experience
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities
• Experience as an ABA Therapist, Behavior Technician, RBT, paraprofessional, special education aide, or similar role
• Ability to follow an individualized ABA treatment plan
• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule
• Professional communication with families and the supervising BCBA
• Comfortable providing services in the child's home

Pay

$25–$32 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Part‑time position with weekday afternoon and evening hours; consistent after‑school schedule requiring a dependable weekly commitment.
