About the role
Serves as a Maintenance Worker (MVO) incumbent will Performs a wide variety of general duties involved in the operation, maintenance and repair of facilities including lock equipment, navigation structures, and buildings and grounds, requiring the use of various trade practices.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs and routine maintenance on lock and dam equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintains and repairs various masonry structures using brick, block, and stone.
- Executes complex rigging operations to lift and move heavy objects, often in confined spaces.
- Operates hydraulic cranes to support maintenance activities, performing complex and precise lifts of heavy loads.
- Assists in the installation and repair of various plumbing systems, including high-pressure steam lines, pumps, and radiators.
- Operates a variety of vehicles and equipment, such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, forklifts, and excavators.

Requirements
To be found qualified for the Maintenance Worker (MVO), WY-08 position, you must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. I have experience assisting journeyman-level trades workers in a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. My experience includes performing routine maintenance on mechanical systems, assisting with basic carpentry and masonry work, operating heavy equipment, and performing rigging tasks.
