Maintenance Worker Lead - Phoebe Services

About the role

The Maintenance Worker Lead performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for buildings and grounds in assigned areas. This role may also oversee or delegate responsibilities within the maintenance operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of others without direct performance management responsibilities
• Schedule and assign daily work assignments to a team and oversee task completion
• Inspect assigned areas routinely and perform necessary maintenance to keep facilities functional and serviceable
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly checklists for pre-scheduled building and equipment maintenance
• Repair fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows, minor appliances, and office equipment
• Report major maintenance needs and recommend corrective actions
• Mentor employees on minor tasks to correct mistakes
• Adapt to changing job duties or new assignments as needed

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in maintenance preferred
• Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
• Exercise considerable judgment based on experience to solve problems
• Act as an informal resource for less experienced team members
• Operate with limited supervision
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Physical Demands

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
