Position Summary

The individual selected for this position will assume all duties of Machine Adjuster.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Train and assist in supervision of employees
• Manage department in absence of supervisor
• Work well with others, communicate with others, and have good decision-making ability
• Desire to be part of a proactive, motivated maintenance team
• Set up machines for different cuts, make adjustments to the machine, perform regular daily maintenance, grease machine, sharpen blades
• Able to lift 85 lbs. and work at high heights
• Able to do administrative duties and records, i.e. (P.M’s, logs, etc.)
• Able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity
• Able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly different shifts (day, evening, or night)

Basic Skills And Qualifications

• Comprehend simple instructions
• Skills in mechanics, welding, and electrical fields preferred
• Apply common sense
• Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees)
• Stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day
• Multitask and work quickly
• Be a team player and willing to work close to other employees at some stations (less than 3 feet apart)
• Good communication skills
• Good hand and eye coordination required
• Food or production experience preferred
