Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

We're seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations and ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include managing the maintenance team, responding to maintenance issues, and adhering to the company's risk management program.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Avenue5 policies and standards, and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Manage the maintenance team, overseeing daily tasks and resolving issues promptly.
• Review and track service request progress, identifying chronic maintenance issues.
• Perform various maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds maintenance.
• Conduct pre-move-in and post-move-out inspections and ensure timely completion of unit turns.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, fostering a positive environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, property managers, and maintenance team members.
• Participate in on-call rotations and address emergencies as needed.
• Administer the company's risk management program and contribute to maintenance cost control.
• Complete special projects as assigned and collaborate with property leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in property management or a related field.
• General maintenance and carpentry skills.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic mathematical functions and ability to cope with challenging situations.
• Compliance with company policies and uniform requirements.
• Completion of Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity, and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.

Pay

$32 to $35 per hour.
