About the role

Perform required maintenance and repair on building and equipment as scheduled or as needed during processing hours. Work independently and cooperatively to meet and/or exceed the expectations of the customer, company, and department through established and maintained procedures. Maintain positive and productive behavior, showing care for the customer and fellow employees without compromising company or personal standards.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspect equipment to identify and report potential equipment failure or safety issues (personnel and/or food safety).
• Routinely inspect plant utilities to identify and report potential equipment failures.
• Perform maintenance duties and preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled or assigned to process equipment.
• Perform repairs to maintain the operational ability and integrity of process equipment.
• Maintain areas outside of processing areas to the level of requirements of the Master Sanitation Plan.
• Perform preoperational equipment setup, maintenance, and post-operational equipment teardown on process equipment.
• Safely operate various maintenance power tools and measuring instruments.
• Safely operate gas cutting and welding systems.
• Safely operate forklifts, manual, and/or electric pallet jacks (Plant Certification).
• Maintain LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) certification.
• Maintain updates, create, and complete Work Orders and Preventive Maintenance Worksheets within the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Maintain and understand how to use equipment manuals located within the Maintenance Library.
• Attend GMP and Safety meetings.
• Attend training related to the job description.
• Evaluate and contribute to the management of the parts inventory level.

Requirements

• General plant and department training.
• Assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• Lubrication and filtration (inspection, repair, preventive maintenance).
• Utilities (inspection, repair, preventive maintenance).
• Technical fundamentals and asset management (inspection, repair, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance).
• Mechanical (inspection, repair, preventive maintenance) and mechanical schematic navigation (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Electrical (inspection, repair, preventive maintenance) and electrical schematic navigation (controls, safeties, VFDs).
• Fabrication and diagnostic navigation.
• Complete tasks assigned verbally, written, or digitally by Maintenance Leadership as directed.
• Understand and follow all Maintenance Programs and Company Policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and a Trade school certification.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of industrial machine repair, measurements, and electrical systems.

Pay

$31–$31.78/hour.

Schedule

Second shift, 11 PM–8 AM.
