About the role
We are Nature’s Bakery, one of the fastest-growing snack brands in the category and part of the Mars family. As a Maintenance Mechanic, your primary responsibility is to provide competent and effective Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance support to ensure plant and facility operations comply with industry standards and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Installed, and/or troubleshoot and repair Manufacturing equipment such as: assembly, conveyors, forming, mixing (Oven operations is a plus).
- Follows work instructions and OSHA safety rules, including the use of all PPE and other safety equipment in an industrial environment.
- Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair all electrical functions.
- Must be able to prioritize and triage in a fast-paced work environment.
- Maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufactures specifications while following preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled PMs.
- Generate work orders, and parts request.
- Be able to use some machine shop, and other related machines as required to repair parts or fabricate modifications.
- Complete work orders and PMs and the documentation for that work.
- Able to operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and other appropriate equipment.
- Maintain current GMP, Safety, Food Safety, & technical knowledge by actively participating in training.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
- 4 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic.
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Able to work rotation 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime and occasionally.
- Able to follow manufacturing specifications and schematics.
- Complete knowledge of the manufacturing process, typically resulting from a minimum of five years’ experience in related jobs.
Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required. Complete working knowledge of the manufacturing process, typically resulting from a minimum of five years’ experience in related jobs.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds.
