This onsite role is based in Bethlehem, PA, and relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities

  • Building Maintenance – Perform and/or facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair. Perform repairs on dock doors, dock locks, and dock plates to resolve problems and ensure successful operation. Escort and assist outside vendors.
  • Equipment Maintenance – Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical. Help with repairs when unscheduled breakdowns occur.
  • Conveyor, Automation and Sorter Systems – Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Help with conveyor, automation, and sortation system repairs.
  • Electrical – Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Follow lock out/tag out policy.
  • Safety / Facility Cleanliness – Practice and lead 5S and safety procedures to ensure the area is safe, organized, and clean. Maintain complete inventory and cleaning of all equipment and work areas daily. Identify and act immediately to correct any safety hazards or spills to avoid the risk of accident, and escalate issues.
  • Other responsibilities and activities as assigned to ensure all requests are completed safely.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and engineering specifications.
  • High school graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification (e.g., electrical, controls, plumbing, welding) or equivalent military technical training.
  • 6 months – 3 years' experience with mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to be on call, work days or nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Working knowledge of voltage meters and AC/DC systems (preferred).
