Maintenance Tech I
Starting Pay: $19.99 - $22.06 per hour DOE

- Location: Carlsbad, NM
Responsibilities
Works directly under the Facilities Manager or designee and is responsible for a wide range of exterior maintenance and grounds keeping duties at numerous buildings, grounds and related installations owned or under control, care, and custody of the county.
Employee must be able to work independently and perform all duties with minimal supervision.
Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience in groundskeeping or maintenance
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must have a valid first aid/CPR certification
Skills
- Knowledge of landscaping and horticulture practices
- Ability to operate various types of equipment including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
