In this role, you will oversee maintenance repairs and community upkeep, ensuring our properties deliver the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
- Oversee and execute hands-on maintenance duties to maintain and enhance the value of the community, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
- Perform consistent inspections, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs.
- Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes to support leasing efforts, including Make-Ready and Turn Board.
- Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
- Inspect the property for safety hazards and correct them to mitigate liability.
- Share rotating on-call duty with the service team and respond to after-hours needs in uniform/badge.
- Complete the Weekly Service Report in a timely manner.
- Adhere to Mark-Taylor safety protocols, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in training classes and mentor Service Technicians and Facilities Technicians.
- Maintain accurate records for preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemical logs, and make-ready/turn units.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive rapport with residents and team members.
- Oversee capital projects, including bidding and execution.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a luxury multi-family setting (required).
- Lease-up punch walk experience (highly preferred).
- Advanced knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
- One or more industry-specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA, or similar).
- Service-oriented mindset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Three or more years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make-Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician (preferred).
- Basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $34.00–$36.00/hour. All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
