Maintenance Repairman 2
Description of Work
This position supports safe and efficient transportation operations by performing skilled construction and maintenance tasks. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Planning Tasks: Review project needs, determine materials, and prepare for construction work
- Construction Skills: Measure, cut, and place materials for carpentry and concrete projects
- Tool Operation: Select and operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Safety Practices: Follow safety procedures, observe hazards, and report concerns promptly
- Environmental Care: Carry out assigned environmental protection responsibilities in maintenance activities
Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Work hours may vary for winter operations.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Pay
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $ 40,685.00 (before taxes).
Qualifications
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
