Description of Work
- Construction Planning: Plan materials, tools, and steps for a variety of building and repair projects
- Carpentry and Concrete: Measure, cut, place, and finish materials for framing, carpentry, and concrete tasks
- Facility Repairs: Repair or replace lights, plumbing parts, doors, valves, switches, and similar items
- Grounds Maintenance: Cut grass, remove snow, and wash trucks during winter activities
- Equipment Care: Clean and store plows, spreaders, and tools used for seasonal operations
- Team Leadership: Guide helpers by assigning basic duties and monitoring their work
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- No telework option available in this position
Pay
- Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).
