Maintenance Mechanic - Moses Lake Production Campus (Columbia Basin Facility)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of moving equipment and other potential safety hazards in a production plant.
- Ensures necessary level of communication is maintained with the appropriate personnel.
- Ensures the efficient operation of all equipment on the premises by using preventative maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensures all equipment overhauls, repairs, installations or modifications are completed in a timely manner and comply with industry standards and codes as related to safety and quality.
Typical Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Relevant Experience
- 3+ years related experience and/or training
Other Information
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics
- Basic electrical repair in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings and write detailed repair reports
- Ability to analyze and make decisions
- Ability to diagram equipment control problems
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move heavy equipment
- Climb ladders and work in high, precarious places
Working Environment
- May be exposed to wet or humid conditions
- May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- May be exposed to high noise environments
- May be exposed to chemicals used in the process
- Could be in temperatures of -5 degrees
